What we collect

When you contact Monthend or submit an enquiry, we may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, information you choose to provide about your bookkeeping needs, and basic technical information generated by the website or service providers where applicable.

Why we collect it

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, assess whether Monthend is a suitable fit for your business, communicate about our services, administer onboarding where you choose to proceed, and meet legal, security and business-record obligations.

Please do not send passwords, banking credentials, myIR login details, authentication codes or other sensitive information that is not needed for an initial enquiry.

How we store and use information

Monthend uses approved business systems to store and process information. We take reasonable steps to limit access to authorised people, use business-owned accounts and systems where practical, protect accounts with appropriate security controls, avoid unnecessary copies of sensitive information, and use information only for the purpose it was collected for or another purpose permitted by law.

Sharing information

Monthend may share information with approved service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the business or provide the agreed service. Where a client relationship involves an accountant or referral partner, Monthend will only share client information where authorised or otherwise lawfully permitted. We do not sell client or enquiry information.

Retention

Monthend keeps information only for as long as reasonably required for the relevant business, tax, contractual, insurance, legal or dispute-related purpose. Some bookkeeping and tax-supporting records may need to be retained for statutory periods.

Access and correction

You may request access to personal information Monthend holds about you and ask for correction where appropriate.

Privacy incidents

If Monthend becomes aware of a privacy incident, it will assess and respond to the incident in accordance with its Privacy & Client Data Handling Policy and applicable New Zealand privacy requirements.

Third-party services

This website uses Google Fonts to provide the Monthend brand typography. When fonts load, your browser may connect to Google’s font-delivery services. The launch version of the enquiry form does not send information to a separate form provider; it opens your own email application with the form details filled in.
